|Although Coast Professional, Inc. (Coast) feels that a representative is never really fully trained due to the constant changes in the collection industry, Coast strives to make effective representatives by keeping them informed with up-to-date information. Representatives attend seminars, read industry related publications, have proven mentors, attend in-house training classes, and actively participate in simulated collection technique scenarios. |
Representatives must pass ACA’s FDCPA and the PTCT tests with the score of 100% prior to moving on to FACS system training and telephone collection activity. Both the FDCPA and the PTCT tests contain approximately fifty questions and includes tutorial and interactive training. Representatives must also pass a series of quizzes throughout the initial training pertaining to Federal Perkins loans, tuition balances, private (institutional) loans, bankruptcy laws and collection techniques. This valuable training ensures that representatives understand the collection concepts so they will be able to deliver the most professional and successful service possible on behalf of Coast's clients.
Besides the in-depth training, a manager may determine through observance or reports if a representative may need additional guidance and will promptly address the needs throughout a representative’s entire career with Coast.
